Interdisciplinary Art

About
Christine Tomlinson is an interdisciplinary artist based in Hope, British Columbia. Her practice brings together watercolour, sculpture, installation, photography, and experimental art to explore memory, emotion, movement, and connection to place.
Inspired by landscapes, personal narratives, and quiet moments that often go unnoticed, Tomlinson works with natural materials, layered imagery, and atmospheric colour to examine how experiences are carried, remembered, and transformed.
Her work moves between the intimate and the immersive, from delicate watercolour landscapes to sculptural forms and installations that invite viewers to slow down, reflect, and engage with the experience of the work. Across each medium, she is interested in creating space for reflection, connection, and healing.
Each work begins with a process of listening—to a place, a material, a memory, or a feeling. Through experimentation and intuition, the work develops into a bridge between personal experience and shared understanding.
